Billing Policies

The Sentinel is free to use today. These billing policies apply when premium subscriptions launch. The core bot and dashboard require no payment or cancellation to use now.

When paid billing is enabled, these policies will apply to optional premium purchases for The Sentinel Discord Bot. Premium payments will be processed by an authorized payment provider acting as our merchant of record. Details will be disclosed at checkout.

Cancellation Policy

This policy applies to recurring premium subscriptions. One-time purchases do not renew and do not require cancellation.

Automatic Renewal

Premium subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or annually, depending on your plan) unless you cancel before the renewal date. You will be charged the then-current rate for your plan at each renewal.

How to Cancel

You may cancel a subscription at any time using either method:

  • Payment provider customer portal — Use the link in your purchase confirmation email to manage or cancel your subscription.
  • Email us — Send a cancellation request to hello@sentinellabs.dev from the email address used at checkout. Include your order number or the Discord server associated with the subscription.

Effect of Cancellation

  • Cancellation stops future billing charges.
  • Premium access continues until the end of your current paid billing period.
  • After the billing period ends, your server reverts to the free tier. Free-tier features remain available.
  • Cancelling a subscription does not automatically remove The Sentinel bot from your server.
  • We do not provide prorated refunds for unused time within a billing period unless required by law or explicitly stated at purchase.

Free Tier

No cancellation is needed for free use of The Sentinel. Removing the bot from your Discord server stops data collection for that server but does not involve any billing action.

Refund Policy

Eligibility

Refund requests for premium purchases may be considered within 14 days of the original purchase date. Because our products are digital services delivered immediately, refunds may be declined if:

  • Premium features were activated and substantially used during the billing period
  • The request is made after the 14-day window (except where required by law)
  • There is evidence of abuse, fraud, or violation of our Terms of Service

How to Request a Refund

Email hello@sentinellabs.dev with:

  • Your order number or purchase receipt
  • The email address used at checkout
  • The Discord server or account associated with the purchase
  • A brief explanation of your refund request

Processing

  • We aim to respond to refund requests within 3–5 business days.
  • Approved refunds are processed by our payment provider to your original payment method.
  • Refund timing depends on your bank or payment provider and may take 5–10 business days to appear.
  • Upon refund, premium access for the associated purchase will be revoked.

Subscription Refunds

If you cancel a subscription, you will not be charged again, but previous charges are generally non-refundable unless you qualify under the eligibility criteria above or applicable consumer protection law requires otherwise.

Dispute Policy

Contact Us First

If you have a billing issue, believe you were charged in error, or are unsatisfied with a premium purchase, email us at hello@sentinellabs.dev before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank. We will work in good faith to resolve the issue promptly. For general bot help, use our Discord support server.

Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

Our payment provider processes all payments on our behalf. If you file a chargeback or payment dispute without first contacting us:

  • We may suspend premium access while the dispute is investigated.
  • We reserve the right to permanently revoke premium access for fraudulent or abusive dispute claims.
  • We may provide transaction and usage records to our payment provider and your bank as part of the dispute process.

Resolution Process

  1. Email us at hello@sentinellabs.dev describing the issue.
  2. We will review your order details and respond within 3–5 business days.
  3. If we agree a refund or adjustment is warranted, we will process it through our payment provider.
  4. If we cannot resolve the matter, you may escalate through the payment provider's support or your bank as a last resort.

Merchant of Record

When paid billing is enabled, an authorized payment provider will act as the merchant of record for Sentinel Labs premium transactions. Your purchase will also be subject to that provider's terms and privacy policy, disclosed at checkout.

These billing policies are part of our agreement with premium customers and may be updated from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
